Nickolas Gene Carter was born in Jamestown, New York on January 28, 1980. His parents are Robert and Jane Carter. He has four
younger siblings and one older sibling. The younger siblings are: three sisters, Bobbie Jean (BJ), Leslie, and Angel and one
brother, Aaron. Aaron and Angel are twins. His older sibling is Ginger, his half sister from his father's first marriage.
When Nick was three, his parents moved him and his sister to Tampa, Florida. At the age of nine, his mother discovered he
could sing. She took himm to auditions. When he was thirteen, he auditioned for both the Mickey Mouse Club and a new group.
He chose the group which is known today as the Backstreet Boys. He was the younger member of the group. Being in the group,
he had to finish school through tutoring. He didn't get to go to high school. When he was nineteen, his family moved to Los
Angeles. Nick thought it would be best if he stayed in Florida to be closer to the band. He bought his own house in Tampa
by the beach because he's a waterboy at heart. Now he's twenty-one and enjoying single life.
