Brian Thomas Littrell was born February 20, 1975, in Lexington Kentucky to Harold and Jackie Littrell. He has one older brother, Harold Littrell Jr. Brian was born with a hole in his heart and a heart murmur. When he was five, he fell and hit his head. Jackie took him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with staph infection. The doctor told Jackie and Harold to start making funeral arrangement. But Brian survived. He went on to have a normal childhood. On April 20,, 1993, he was in high school in his history class when the secretary said he had a phone call. He went down and she said it was long distance. He took the call and found it was his cousin, Kevin. Kevin told him that he joined a band and were looking for a fifth member. Brian talked to his parents and was on the next flight to Orlando the next day. He auditioned and became the fifth member of the group. Brian, Nick, Kevin, Howie, and AJ became the Backstreet Boys. They were on the road to success. Then when they hit it big in the US, Brian found out that he would have to have heart surgery. His future wife, Leighanne Wallace (they met at the video shoot for As Long As You Love Me), never left his side. In May of 1998, Brian underwent open heart surgery. He came out of it and is healthy and energitic. He and Leighanne got married on September 2, 2000. Brian said "It's the right time for everything." Well, Brian, I do believe you are right.
