(Dream begins) I heard someone pounding on the door downstairs.
"I'll get it," I said getting up. I got dressed and kissed him and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Brian.
"Go away, Brian," I said.
"We have to talk, you can't get married, not now," Brian said.
"It's too late, Brian," I said holding up my hand.
"What!" Brian said.
"I'm Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter now, we got married by the justice of the peace, you are too late, goodbye," I said slamming the door. He came in.
"Get out, Brian," I said.
"Bri, what are Mom and Dad going to think?" Brian asked.
"I don't care, I love Nick, he's my husband, I'm not leaving him, so get out," I said.
"Why do you hate me?" Brian asked.
"Because you want to break us up," I said.
"I'm happy for you, Bri," Brian said.
"What," I said.
"I came over to apologize, I'm sorry for everything, I'm happy for you, sis, you got a great guy who I know will take great care of you, and never cheat on you, I saw her again and she admitted that she lied, she just wanted Nick, she isn't going to get him now, he's a married man and there he is, my new brother-in-law," Brian said going over to Nick and hugging him.
"Frick," Nick said.
"Congrats, man, I'm glad youre my brother-in-law, I couldn't ask for anyone else for my sister," Brian said. I smiled. Nick hugged Brian back.
"Thanks man," Nick said.
"I'm sorry for punching you, still buds," Brian said.
"You know it," Nick said.
"I know you didn't cheat, I ran into Hayley, she admitted that she lied, she just wanted you back, and she's not going to get you," Brian said.
"I'm a one woman guy, and I already got her," Nick said wrapping his arms around me. Brian smiled.
"Bri, when are you going to tell Mom and Dad," Brian said. I sighed.
"They are going to hate me," I said.
"Hey, I'll be there with you, okay, whenever you tell them, I'll be there, okay, I'll help you," Brian said. I hugged him. He hugged back.
"I love you, bro," I said.
"I love you, too, sis," Brian said.
There was knocking on the door. Nick opened it.
"Hey, man, we just heard, congrats man," AJ said.
"How did you hear?" Nick asked.
"It's all over the radio and TV, it's everywhere, Nick Carter marries Brian Littrell's sister, Britney," AJ said. I nearly collapsed in Brians arms.
"Brian, Mom, Dad," I said.
"They are going to find out from the TV and radio," Brian said hugging me.
Meanwhile in Kentucky.
Jackie, Harold JR, and Harold SR were watching TV.
"Now we have news from Orlando about Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell, his sister, Britney Littrell, got married today to Brian's fellow bandmate, Nick Carter, they were wed by the justice of the peace, congratulations Nick and Britney," the news reporter said.
"What the hell!" Harold SR said angrily.
"I can't believe this, how could she do this!" Jackie said.
"Mom, I'm sure there's a good reason," Harold JR said.
"We are going to Orlando," Harold SR said. They went to the airport and got on the next plane to Orlando.
Meanwhile in Orlando..
"They will drag me back to Kentucky, I know it," I said pacing back and forth.
"Bri, look, we all are here for you, we are on your side, we will help you deal with your parents," AJ said.
"They told me about their beliefs and about everything, but did I listen, no, of course not, this was a stupid idea!" I said. Nick stood up.
"It was a stupid idea, huh, it was your idea for us to get married, and right away, too," Nick said.
"I know, I'm just really scared right now, and I don't know what I'm saying," I said. Nick hugged me.
"We'll be okay," Nick said.
"I'm so scared," I said. Brian got up.
"We are here for you, sis, we all are, mostly me," Brian said.
"Dad will disown me, I know it," I said crying.
"Then the hell with him," Brian said.
"Oh really," a voice said. We turned and saw Mom, Dad, and Harold JR standing at the doorway of the living room.
"I take it you heard the news," Brian said.
"The hell we did!" Harold SR said angrily.
"Dad, let me explain," I said.
"How could you do this!" Harold SR said.
"I love Nick, Dad, I want to be with him forever, I wanted to be his wife," I said.
"He's just using you!" Harold SR said.
"No he isn't, Dad!" Brian said.
"Stay out of this, Brian!" Harold SR said.
"No, I won't, Nick and Bri love each other, they are in love, very deeply in love, I have never seen a couple more in love than Nick and Bri, they are a match made in heaven, they can overcome anything, like yesterday, I ran into Nick's old girlfriend, she said that she and Nick were sleeping together behind Bri's back, so I come over and punch Nick, Bri refused to believe it because she knew in her heart that Nick would never do anything like that to her, he loves her, she loves him, he would die without you, and she would die without him, they need each other, just be happy for them, Nick's my best friend and a great guy, I know he will never ever hurt her, Hayley was lying about sleeping with Nick, she was just trying to get him back, Nick told me he's a one woman guy and he has her, right there, my sister, your daughter, just be happy for them, they need your support, too," Brian said.
"We can't be happy about this," Harold SR said angrily.
"Kevin, take Bri upstairs," Brian said. Kevin came over and we went upstairs. Brian stood there looking at his father.
"You are making a big mistake here, Dad," Brian said.
"It's his fault," Harold SR said pointing to Nick.
"What!" Nick yelled.
"You heard me, you little punk," Harold SR said.
"I'm not a little punk, old man!" Nick said. Harold SR got mad and ran to Nick and was about to punch him when they heard Bri scream no. She came downstairs and slipped and tumbled down the stairs. She laid at the bottom of the stairs not moving. Nick ran to her and knelt down beside her.
"Bri, baby," Nick said. She didnt respond. Brian ran over and knelt down. He took her pulse.
"She doesn't have a pulse," Brian said. He listened to her heart.
"She's not breathing but shes still alive, Howie, call 911 right now," Brian said. Brian began doing CPR.
"The ambulance is on its way," Howie said.
"Come on, Bri, don't leave us," Brian said.
"Bri, don't leave me, please," Nick said crying. Leighanne stood there crying. The ambulance arrived and loaded Bri up. Brian got into the ambulance with her. Nick grabbed his keys and ran to his Durango. The guys followed. AJ ran to Nick.
"Nick, you want me to drive?" AJ asked.
"I don't think I can," Nick said handing him the keys. They got in and went to the hospital. They saw Brian pacing.
"Brian!" AJ said.
"Her heart stopped on the way but they got it started again, we might lose her," Brian said.
"No, they have to do something, they have to help her," Nick said.
"Nick, the doctor said there might not be anything they can do," Brian said crying.
"They can't give up!" Nick said crying.
"They are trying everything they can," Brian said.
Harold JR, Harold SR, and Jackie arrived. AJ told them the news. Jackie nearly collapsed. Brian refused to look at his parents. Harold JR looked at Harold SR.
"Dad, if she dies, it's all your fault!" Harold JR said angrily. Harold SR sat down and buried his face in his hands. Nick looked up and saw the doctor.
"Mr. Carter," Dr. Thomas said.
"Yes," Nick said.
"I'm Dr. Thomas, your wife's doctor," Dr. Thomas said.
"How is she?" Nick asked.
"She's bleeding internally, we haven't found where it started, we don't know if we can stop it, I'm sorry, Mr. Carter, she's dying," Dr. Thomas said.
"No, you have to do something!" Nick cried.
"We did everything we could, I'm sorry, Mr. Carter," Dr. Thomas said. Nick leaned against the wall and slid down and cried. He felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Leave me alone," Nick cried. He buried his face in his hands and cried. Everyone else went to see her one last time. Jackie cried when she saw her. Harold JR cried and held his mother. Harold SR broke down because he knew it was his fault. Brian saw her and broke down. Nick came in and saw her and broke down. He held her hand.
"I love you, baby, I'll always love you, why do you have to give up, goodbye," Nick said crying. He saw the machine go flatline. He knew she was gone.
"I love you, Bri," Nick said. (Dream ends)
